A project that honours the past and embraces the future
Updating a heritage villa in a Special Character area requires careful coordination, deep respect for history and exceptional craftsmanship. From restoring the street-facing elevation to constructing a new two-storey addition at the rear, every element of this home was carefully considered.
Original materials, including salvaged brick and kauri, were reused to ensure continuity, while new elements - including a walk-in wardrobe, fully tiled ensuite and basement garage - were integrated with precision.
The result is a family home that feels both grounded and fresh, with indoor-outdoor flow, energy-efficient features and refined detailing throughout.
